Testosterone: The Male Hormone

Some men do not look their age due their levels of a vital male hormone. Some women have male characteristics such as excess facial and body hair or irregular menstrual cycles. These two scenarios are due to a hormone produced by both sexes-testosterone. Testosterone is a steroid hormone that is usually secreted in vertebrate such as birds, reptiles and mammals.
